A stop-frame animation made with cut-out blobs of coloured paper juxtaposed. The soundtrack is a collage of radio fragments. "TAlk Mr Bard" is described excitedly in an early London Filmmakers Cooperative catalogue:
"An abstract movie by the notorious bibliophobe and Skoob erector. Blobs and dots tumble and tremble about in patterns which at once please the eye and baffle the mind. Some see it as a visualization of party chit chat. For others it is a formal exercise in kinetic art. Whatever one thinks, and even if one doesn't, this is a welcome new move in the too rare Fischinger tradition."
"Talk Mr Bard" began as an elementary lesson in filmmaking for Latham's young son Noa, evolving into what the artist described as a "disc-operated time-signatured film". Latham completed the film at the Chelsea HOtel during his first stay in New York, and film is named for STanley Bard, long-time owner of the hotel.
